Nintendo's Doug Bowser makes Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Twitter goof
Listen, we’re all very excited about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. That excitement causes us to rush thoughts and make mistakes. It happens to the best of us, and that includes Nintendo’s Doug Bowser.
In a now-deleted tweet, Doug Bowser shared the news of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom blowing past 10 million copies sold in just 3 days. Along with that reveal, Doug also shared a personal comment thanking fans for the support. Unfortunately for Doug, there was a rather odd typo included.
As you may have spotted, Bowser said ‘Hyland’ instead of ‘Hyrule.’ Of course, now the question is whether this was just a slip of the brain, or whether it indicates that Bowser doesn’t really know much about The Legend of Zelda in general. Obviously, Bowser has since deleted his tweet and shared a corrected one, but the debate still rages on.
Simple mistake or an inside look at Bowser’s lack of Zelda knowledge? We’ll leave the discussion up to you.
