Man killed, juvenile hurt in Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man is dead and a juvenile is hurt after a shooting in Lexington.
The coroner confirmed on Monday morning that 19-year-old Jalen Henderson died on Florence Avenue overnight. His cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Police told WKYT earlier that a juvenile was shot on Florence Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. That juvenile was expected to recover.
Neighbors told us at the scene that they heard nine to ten shots fired. Parts of the street were closed off with caution tape and police could be seen canvassing the neighborhood gathering evidence.
We are working to confirm when Henderson was shot, and how his death is connected to the shooting of the juvenile.
Neighbors say they hired several shots fired Sunday evening. (WKYT)
