Scott County deputy shot during traffic stop on I-75, officials say
(LEX 18) — A Scott County deputy was killed in a shooting Monday. Police say the deputy killed was Caleb Conley who leaves behind a wife and a child.
It all began in Scott County at around 5:00 p.m. during a traffic stop on I-75 at mile marker 127. ATF and Kentucky State Police arrived at the scene.

Then about an hour later, there was a shooting at Rose & Jim's Bar & Grill on Georgetown Road in Lexington. We're told the incidents are connected.
Our crew spotted someone being transported away by EMS from the location. One worker tells us they heard a couple of gunshots and several other people were inside the bar at the time.
A large police presence was also spotted at a home on Whitney Avenue. LEX 18's Leigh Searcy reports that one of the vehicles crashed and a suspect may have been taken into custody.

Our LEX 18 crew spotted several high-ranking officials at UK Hospital, including Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers and Fayette County Sheriff Kathy Witt.
