Sheriff's deputies shot while serving search warrant in Clifton Park; suspect wounded
Two Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies and a suspect were shot while authorities were executing a search warrant in Clifton Park this morning.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department says they were executing a federal narcotic search warrant earlier today at the Fox Run apartment complex on Foxwood Drive. That’s when officials tell us shots were fired by both parties.
Authorities say the two wounded sheriff’s deputies and the suspect have been taken to Albany Medical Center.
A law enforcement source told Mark Mulholland that one deputy was shot in the leg. The other was shot in the chest, but was wearing a bulletproof vest.
The suspect is not expected to survive, according to the source.
