NVDA Stock: Nvidia, Microsoft Azure Team On Generative AI
The leading producer of processors for artificial intelligence, Nvidia (NVDA), is joining forces with the buzziest name in generative AI software, Microsoft (MSFT). NVDA stock and MSFT stock have surged on AI news this year.

Nvidia announced Tuesday that it is collaborating with Microsoft to accelerate enterprise-ready generative AI. The technology can create content, including written articles, images, videos and music, from simple descriptive phrases. Enterprises can use generative AI to improve customer service, market research and other applications.
The graphics-chip maker said it is integrating its Nvidia AI Enterprise software into Microsoft's Azure Machine Learning offering to help enterprises with their AI initiatives. Azure is Microsoft's cloud computing platform. Further, Microsoft has been investing heavily in artificial intelligence, including its partnership with OpenAI.
The Nvidia-Microsoft integration will allow Azure customers to quickly build, deploy and manage customized applications using the more than 100 Nvidia AI frameworks and development tools.
NVDA Stock News: Coming Wave Of Generative AI
"With the coming wave of generative AI applications, enterprises are seeking secure accelerated tools and services that drive innovation," Manuvir Das, vice president of enterprise computing at Nvidia, said in a news release.
He added, "The combination of Nvidia AI Enterprise software and Azure Machine Learning will help enterprises speed up their AI initiatives with a straight, efficient path from development to production."
On the stock market today, NVDA stock dropped 1.6% to close at 306.88. Also, Microsoft retreated 1.8% to 315.26.
Nvidia, Microsoft Are On IBD Stock Lists
The integration of Nvidia technology into Azure Machine Learning will enable enterprises to train and deploy custom large language models for generative AI, John Montgomery, corporate vice president of AI platform at Microsoft, said in a written statement.
NVDA stock and MSFT stock are on the IBD Tech Leaders list. Additionally, Nvidia is on IBD's Leaderboard. Further, Microsoft is in the IBD Long-Term Leaders Portfolio.
Earlier Tuesday, Nvidia and computer maker Dell Technologies (DELL) announced a joint initiative to make it easier for businesses to build and use generative AI models on premises. The initiative, called Project Helix, also will use Dell and Nvidia infrastructure and software.
