Details of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's 'private' engagement revealed

Jeff Bezos proposed to Lauren Sánchez while enjoying the maiden voyage on his brand new $500 million superyacht.
According to TMZ, the Amazon founder 59, popped the question last week after the pair landed in Spain to start their journey to the French Riviera.
The insider revealed that Bezos set up a “private” proposal – just the two of them — in either Ibiza or Mallorca but the couple chose to keep their engagement a secret for the first few days.

Although Sánchez, 53, was first photographed wearing her 20-carat ring on May 21, she was spotted wearing a ring – which was turned inwards to conceal the massive rock — on that finger just three days prior.
It wasn’t until the pair arrived in the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival that they finally let the cat out of the bag at a star-studded Vanity Fair party.
“They were telling everyone they were engaged; they were so excited. They are completely in love,” one insider told us, while another added that the two acted like horny teenagers.

“They were all over each other. I mean, they’re always affectionate, but they could not keep their hands off each other,” the second spy shared.

Although the pilot didn’t wear her engagement ring to the party, she was photographed wearing the diamond sparkler one day later while hanging over the rail of Bezos’ boat — which has a mermaid resembling Sánchez adorning its prow.
The newly engaged couple looked smitten as they chatted on board before Bezos gave his leading lady a pat on her backside.

That night, the former journalist flaunted the massive ring — which cost between $2.5 to $3.5 million – while on a dinner date with her fiancé as well as his sister, Christina Bezos, and her husband, Steve Poore.
Sánchez looked every bit a bride in a white pearl-embellished minidress with crystal details while the CEO dressed down in khakis, a tan belt and a blue button-down.

Prior to his relationship with Sánchez, Jeff was married to MacKenzie Scott, whom he divorced in April 2019 after 25 years of marriage.
The former couple share four children.
Similarly, Sánchez settled her divorce from Patrick Whitesell in October 2019. They were married for 13 years.
