Rapper MoneySign Suede is discovered stabbed to death in a prison shower at 22
The rapper MoneySign Suede has been found dead of an apparent stabbing while in prison, according to TMZ.
The rising Los Angeles–based rapper had been interred at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California.
Prison officials told the publication that they are investigation MoneySign Suede's death as a homicide .
The rapper (born Jaime Brugada Valdez) was reportedly determined to be missing after a headcount was done on Tuesday night around 9:55 p.m.
The sources said the rapper was subsequently found in another part of the prison, where CPR was allegedly attempted on him.

However, he was unresponsive and was subsequently pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m.
Since his death, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation announced that the prison has been restricting the movement of prisoners.
The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office is now conducting an investigation into the rapper's death, while the Monterey County Coroner is working to determine his cause of death.
While speaking to the Los Angeles Times, MoneySign Suede's attorney Nicholas Rosenberg said he was told that his client had been stabbed in the neck in the shower.
A prisoner who spoke to the newspaper anonymously noted that the rapper had been discovered in a part of the prison housing general population prisoners.
He said that was unusual, as a rapper would usually be housed in the sensitive-needs yard, which is for prisoners who have specific safety fears or have public profiles.
However, the rapper was in the early stages of his career, so it's unclear if his profile was high enough to warrant that kind of protection.
MoneySign Suede had been serving a 32-month sentence on gun charges in Riverside County, according to his attorney.

The rapper had more legal trouble on the horizon, as he had been hit with another gun charge from Los Angeles County.
However, he had already pleaded out on the charge and was expected to receive a two-year prison sentence that he would likely serve concurrently with his earlier sentence.
He had surrendered himself in December of last year.
MoneySign Suede had boosted his career in 2021 when he signed with Atlantic records. The label released his most recent album Parkside Baby in September of 2022.
