Joanna Gaines celebrated a major milestone as a mom over the weekend when she celebrated her and Chip's son Drake graduating high school.
The Fixer Upper star, 45 – who recently attended a state dinner at the White House with her husband Chip, 48 – posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her 18-year-old that showed her panning a camera over various photos of Drake growing up.
Captioning the video, Joanna lamented how fast times flies before describe her pride as a parent.
The HGTV star wrote: 'It feels like just yesterday that we were cheering him on as he took his first steps…but last weekend, as he walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma (!!) we were cheering him on as he took his first steps into a world beyond what he’s known.'
Joanna ended her remarks by declaring, 'We’re so proud of you, Drake,' including a red heart emoji along with a hashtag of his baseball jersey number, 16.

Speaking to PEOPLE in August, the Texas twosome opened up about the bittersweet nature of letting go and sending Drake off to college.
'Jo's been an emotional wreck,' joked Chip. 'You can quote me on that.'
The superstar house flipper tried to focus on the positive, adding: 'She sees Drake off to his first day of school, which in kindergarten, it makes sense that you get really emotional. Your senior year, this is a celebratory moment.'
Explaining her emotions, Joanna said: 'I'm like, "Oh, my gosh, I remember him being a baby and then how did this happen?" So that's where, for us, it's like, how do you slow down time? Because we know time actually doesn't slow down.'

Joana got candid about how her 'tight little family unit' is about to change as Drake leaves the nest.
'I think for us, it's the realization that we're this tight little family unit and we're a bigger family. There's seven of us, but knowing the second that one baby leaves, it changes that dynamic.'
Meanwhile, Chip is looking forward to the future and witnessing Chip's journey into adulthood.
The proud dad said: 'I think like anything, we've done our job. And now with this little boy, man, whatever he is, it's going to be exciting to see what he becomes and I think it's healthy.'
