Opener
Gigi Dolin battled Jacy Jayne inside of a weaponized steel cage match to open the show. They had been feuding for the past four months.
There were various weapons used, such as baseball bat, trash cans, kendo sticks, and more. The finish saw Gigi chokeslam her off the top rope through a table for the win.
What’s Next For Carmelo Hayes?
Carmelo Hayes, who retained his NXT Championship by defeating Bron Breakker in the Battleground main event this past Sunday night, spoke about what’s next for him.
Hayes started out by noting how he overcame everything that Bron threw at him. Noam Dar came out and talked about the Heritage Cup being the most important trophy in NXT. Hayes pointed out that it took Lash Legends and others to help him win the match. Dar vs. Hayes for the NXT Title was booked for later tonight.
The match served as the main event with Hayes going over with his leg drop finisher. Nathan Frazier and Dragon Lee evened out the odds at ringside. Post-match, Baron Corbin attacked Hayes to close the show.
Mustafa Ali Arrives
Wes Lee & Tyler Bate defeated The DYAD (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler). During the bout, Mustafa Ali, who had been on Raw, came out through the crowd and joined commentary. Post-match, Joe Gacy jumped Lee before Ali made the save. It was noted on commentary that Ali is a free agent.
Tiffany Stratton Speaks
Tiffany Stratton was crowned the new NXT Women's Champion at Battleground by defeating Lyra Valkyria in the finals of a tournament. WWE had announced that Stratton would be holding a "Tiffybration" to celebrate her victory.
Tiffany said she doesn’t care what the fans think and called out the NXT women’s division to find out her next opponent. She said she would be champion for a long time and she will retire as champion because no one is on her level. There will be a battle royal next week to determine her next champion.
Mystery Attacker Revealed
We found out the identity of the mystery attacker who has been attacking wrestlers such as Nikkita Lyons, Sol Ruca, Wendy Choo, and Roxanne Perez in recent months.
Perez came out and demanded the attacker reveal herself. The person appeared on the big screen only for Blair Davenport to attack her from behind and stood tall in the ring.
