The Jets won’t see new quarterback Aaron Rodgers at practice for a little while longer.

Rodgers tweaked his calf last week during the team’s warm-up period before practice.

Head coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers will practice on a limited basis on Wednesday and the team hopes he can make a full return later this week.

“He’s fine, just doing a bunch of rehab,” Saleh said. “He’ll be limited today. Just hoping we’ll get him full on Friday, for sure next week.”

Rodgers, 39, injured the calf on May 23 during a period before practice the Jets call “activation.”

It involves various warm-up exercises, including work with medicine balls and weighted sleds.

Rodgers said he had never done anything like that before in his career.

Saleh was asked if they need to change that work for an older player.

“You’re always trying to learn, obviously,” Saleh said. “I still argue he’s still a young man, the way he takes care of his body. I know his age. His body is not his age. We’ve got to do a better job just making sure that we communicate with the players and understanding where they are at certain points. I think that was our first tweak in our activation period but we’ll always look to modify it if we need to.”
