Xbox Game Pass Adds Three New Games Today
Xbox Game Pass is commemorating the beginning of June with the introductions of three new games to its catalog, as Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath, and The Big Con are all launching on Microsoft's subscription service today. These newest arrivals follow two other additions to Xbox Game Pass from late May.
The main value proposition of Xbox Game Pass is the offer of access to a wide and varied library of games for a nominal monthly fee. As such, Microsoft has been making great efforts to ensure that its subscription catalog enjoys a consistent influx of new additions ever since debuting the service in mid-2017. The company has so far confirmed seven new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2023, three of which are launching today.

The June 1 batch consists solely of indies, but it offers quite a bit of genre variety. The biggest novelty of the trio is Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath, as this retro shooter from one of the most prolific indie publishers on Xbox Game Pass, No More Robots, happens to be a day one release. Those who aren't interested in run-and-gun action but like the idea of a game with '90s vibes should instead check out The Big Con, a humorous adventure from studio Mighty Yell which tasks players with hustling their way through the late 20th-century U.S. Finally, Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 promises countless hours of entertainment geared toward automotive aficionados.

Apart from this trio of June 1 additions, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim one new game starting today. The title in question is Adios, a nerve-wracking adventure made by studio Mischief which tells the story of a pig farmer who decides to call it quits on his job of doing body disposals for the mob. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers interested in learning what happens next have until June 30 to claim Adios. The Vale: Shadow of the Crown will star in a similar promo later this month, with Microsoft previously confirming that this action RPG will also be free to claim for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers from June 16 through July 15.
The company intends to follow up on this promising start to the month on June 6, when Xbox Game Pass is set to receive Amnesia: The Bunker and Hypnospace Outlaw. Another catalog expansion is scheduled for two days later, when Rune Factory 4 Special and Double Fine's puzzler Stacking are slated to join Microsoft's ever-growing game library.
