Emergency crews respond to massive house fire in Endicott
ENDICOTT (WBNG) -- Several emergency crews were called to a massive structure fire in Endicott Thursday evening.
The fire was at 2 South Nanticoke Ave. in Endicott. The building in question is placed right in front of the Cider Mill. However, the Cider Mill itself was not involved.
Endicott Fire Chief Joseph Griswold said the fire had spread to the first and second floors and attic when crews arrived around 6:45 p.m.
Griswold said one person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and the house has been deemed a total loss.
The Endwell, West Corners, West Corners, Vestal and Union Center fire departments assisted.
Parts of Route 26 were closed as crews battled the flames.
