1 Stabbed at San Francisco BART Station

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at a BART station in San Francisco Wednesday, officials said.

San Francisco police told NBC Bay Area that one person was stabbed. No other details were released.

BART police are still investigating and reviewing video surveillance footage, according to BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth.

The transit agency sent out an alert regarding the closed station about 6 p.m. and said trains were running through Civic Center and not stopping.

As of 7:05 p.m., BART was recovering and normal service had resumed. There is still a major delay system-wide due to the police activity, officials said.
