Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Fan Turns Purah Into a VTuber

An avid fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has shown off their rigging skills by making a Vtuber based on Purah, a popular character who was introduced in this new era of Zelda games. It's yet another example of the game's player base showing off their creative dedication both in and outside of gameplay.

Introduced in Breath of the Wild as a centuries-old lady experimenting with age-altering magic, Purah quickly made an impression on gamers with her various eccentricities. Her adolescent redesign in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was met with a lot of positive reception from fans as well, With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, that positivity has remained.

Redditor Capn_Cinnamon flexed their creative muscles by rigging a VTuber model of Hyrule's leading scientist, based on her newest redesign. The 56-second clip shows the model lip-syncing to the words of a woman who sounds nothing like Kate Higgins' portrayal of the character. Purah's workshop from Tears of the Kingdom acts as the background, while a stream chat window is located below. Through the persona, the artist tests out some of the movements, pointing out how the now iconic Purah Pad was unable to be incorporated as it would come between the hands and minimize physical expression.

The user further explained how difficult it was to incorporate Breath of the Wild's lighting engine in order to properly emulate the character, but nonetheless appeared proud of their hard work, even incorporating the ability to alter the model to remove Purah's glasses and more. Those in the comments appeared impressed nonetheless. Capn_Cinnamon further explained how they intend to use this model during their Twitch streams under the name MonikaCinnyRoll, which others note have mostly centered on Splatoon as of late.

Seeing fans display their love for any video game is always enjoyable, and Tears of the Kingdom is no exception. Whether it be players building the most insane vehicles in-game or even compressing Tears of the Kingdom's gigantic map to fit in one's hand, it never gets old to see where the fandom will go next.
