The Cowboys have released Antonio Callaway after the wide receiver was arrested following a traffic stop in Florida over the weekend.

Callaway, 26, was arrested on Saturday in Miami for allegedly driving with a suspended license, according to South Florida sports reporter Andy Slater.

The news of Callaway’s release was first reported by The Athletic.

Callaway signed with the Cowboys’ practice squad last November, but never appeared in a game for the team.

He last caught an NFL pass in 2020, as a member of the Dolphins.

Callaway is best known for playing for the Browns in 2018 and 2019.

In his career, he has caught 53 balls for 695 yards and five touchdowns.

ESPN reported that the Cowboys signed wide receiver Tyron Johnson as a replacement for Callaway after working out seven players.

Johnson caught 20 balls for 398 yards and three touchdowns for the Chargers in 2020.

In 2021 and 2022, Johnson appeared in games for the Jaguars, Raiders and Texans.
