BREAKING | 2024 In-State OL Styles Prescod Commits to Notre Dame
Indiana is always an essential state for Notre Dame and the Irish are off to a hot start in 2024 as Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.) offensive lineman Styles Prescod has given a verbal pledge to the Fighting Irish.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder made four visits to South Bend in 2023, including back-to-back weekends in April and then over the weekend for his official visit.
During those visits, Prescod quickly learned of the elite talent and tradition that has come out of the Notre Dame offensive line room.
“Notre Dame is everything you think it is and more,” Prescod told ISD earlier this year. “They have a rich history of offensive linemen. The Joe Moore Award is Notre Dame guys. The guys on the trophy are five Notre Dame offensive linemen.
Prescod's time with Marcus Freeman also hit home as the Notre Dame head coach explained what the university could do for him well beyond his playing career.
"Coming to Notre Dame, you can network and have connections for the rest of your life," said Prescod. "He said you could interact with billionaires and you don't even know their name. He talked about building yourself outside of football."
The Indiana native joins Peter Jones and Anthonie Knapp in Notre Dame's offensive line haul in 2024.
