Lamar Odom paid a visit to Bam Margera at the hospital, just days after he was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, following his very public downward spiral.

As the Jackass star determines his next steps, the 43-year-old NBA star reportedly invited him to stay at one of his three drug treatment centers in Southern California.

A source told TMZ that the former professional basketball player 'is serious' about helping the actor, who was allegedly 'receptive to going to rehab' during their chat.

The insider added that the retired skateboarder, 43, and father-of-three 'hugged it out' as Margera stated he really wants to see his five-year-old son Phoenix again.

Over the years, Odom has been open about his battle with drug addiction, which nearly ended his life, after his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel back in 2015.

At the time, he slipped into a coma and suffered from 12 strokes and six heart attacks as well as damage to his kidney and liver.

In April, the Darkness to Light author, announced the launch of his Odom Wellness Treatment Centers.

Upon revealing the news on Instagram, he stated that he felt 'so blessed' and was certain that God saved him to 'save others.'

On Monday, news broke that Margera has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold .

Margera, who is embroiled in a nasty custody battle with estranged wife Nicole Boyd who he claims is keeping him from little boy, has sparked mass concern with his social media rants - and has been deemed a danger to himself and others, according to TMZ.

LAPD police officers found him at Trejo's Tacos on Sunday by tracking his phone - and called in a psychiatric evaluation team. It was claimed when they met with Bam, they determined he needed to be placed under a 5150.

Bam was taken to a mental health facility but it is unclear if he is still getting treatment.

The involuntary hold means Margera could be detained at the hospital for up to 72 hours for evaluation and treatment.

Ahead of his hospitalization, the father-of-one threatened to 'smoke crack' until he is dead unless he is allowed to see his son.

The TV personality, who rose to fame in the early 2000s as one of the stars of the MTV reality stunt show Jackass, claims she has cut off his contact with their son Phoenix over the past two months.

He posted a rant on social media where he hit out at his family and his estranged wife and said they are driving him to drink.

Margera then threatened to go down the boardwalk to smoke crack with homeless people until he dies or until he is allowed to see his son.

He has not seen Phoenix since March 29 during an in-person visit in California and has not been allowed to communicate with his child via phone or FaceTime, according to his lawyer Peter W. Thompson.

His wife's lawyer issued a statement on Margera's video, urging the TV stuntman to maintain his sobriety.

'Unfortunately, that’s not how the addictions work. People’s behavior does not drive others to drink. This is a typical defense mechanism, and it shows that Bam may not have learned much in his past addiction's treatment,' lawyer David Glass told TMZ.

'You have to take responsibility for your own actions. Nikki sincerely hopes that Bam can first achieve and then maintain sobriety, for his own good, and for the good of their son.'

Margera split up with Boyd in 2021 and she went to court in September of that year to request full custody of their son.

She filed for divorce this February citing irreconcilable differences, and requested the court award her $15,000 a month child support, as well as legal and physical custody of their child.

In the documents, Boyd said Margera can see their child as long as it is supervised and he completes rehab for drug and alcohol issues.

But Margera has tried to get the judge overseeing the divorce case to throw it out simultaneously trying to move up the next hearing, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The reality star claims that his ex is not allowing him to see their young son Phoenix, though she claimed in her own filing that his lack of visits is due to his own poor behavior.

He took to social media to hit out at Boyd and his family and threatened to smoke crack until he was granted visitation rights.

'This is an official message to anybody that cares about me whatsoever,' Margera said.

'I haven't seen Phoenix in two f****** months and I am so f****** fed up. I cry every day, I miss him so much and I know I have to wake up everyday knowing that I probably won't get to talk to him or see him.

'So yes Nicki drives me to f****** drink, so does my f****** mom and so does my f****** pep-talking dad who tells me nothing but I am a f****** fat loser piece of s*** drug addict.

'I am going to smoke crack with the bums down at the boardwalk until I am dead or unless you deliver me f****** Phoenix. So get to work Nicki or anybody that wants to help. I want Phoenix.'

Thompson told the TMZ that Margera and Boyd had unsuccessfully tried to set up a routine where he would speak to his son via FaceTime, but it never came to fruition.

Margera's camp said they find it 'completely unreasonable' that Boyd will not pick up the FaceTime or phone calls he has made, as it poses no danger to the child, the outlet reported.

As it stands, the next scheduled hearing in Margera's divorce case is set for July 11, but the skater doesn't want to wait that long.

The last time he saw his child was on March 29 during an in-person visit in California.

That interaction did not go well, as Margera was seen in a clip on the site arguing with Boyd inside a Burbank, California restaurant over time spent with the child.

He was seen arguing with Boyd in the clip, telling her, 'Phoenix has his own mind. Let him have his own mind!'

And he was subsequently arrested in connection with public intoxication in the wake of the incident.

That marked the most recent time that Margera has had any communication with his son, Thompson said.

Sources said Margera has unsuccessfully attempted to deliver presents he purchased his son for Christmas 2022, but Boyd will not take them through Margera or third parties he's offered to have deliver them.

Margera has complained in court about the issue, and Boyd responded that she was fine with him having visits with the child, provided they took place in California, where she resides, and he was sober.

He is said to be paying Boyd's home and car expenses, and that he remains amenable to working out an arrangement with Boyd and her lawyers for any level of communication.

Boyd's lawyer David Glass cited Margera's conduct in his response to the outlet.

'From Nikki's perspective, Bam's continued instability is what makes connecting him and Phoenix difficult,' Glass said. 'But, Nikki remains open to regular FaceTime communication, so long as Bam is not impaired during the calls, and so long as Bam does not denigrate Nikki during the calls.'

Margera has struggled with addiction and been in and out of rehab since 2009 and he escaped from a court-ordered rehab facility over three times last year.

A judge restructured his treatment to no longer require him to reside at an in-patient facility to avoid another escape attempt.

He has made headlines in recent months amid a spate of legal issues, including an altercation with his brother, who has accused him of drug use. Margera has denied the accusations.
