Genshin Impact Players Outraged As Honkai Star Rail Receives Long-Requested Feature
Honkai Star Rail's first major update was finally released today, and while fans are eager to try out all of the new content in the game, one of the features hasn't gone down well in the Genshin Impact community.

miHoYo is actively releasing new and interesting events for its games, and it is one of the things the community eagerly looks forward to in every update. Considering that almost all the events are timed, there is absolutely no way for players to try them out once they have expired. In the Honkai Star Rail's latest 1.1 update, the developers have aimed to rectify this issue by bringing an interesting feature that will allow players to replay these events.
A new addition to the Travel Log, Conventional Memoir, will include some of the past events that are no longer available in the game. Moreover, players can also get rewards for completing these events, which serves as the icing on the cake. The only catch is that players can't get the rewards twice, so if you have already redeemed them, you can still try out the event without the rewards.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing though, considering that many players are willing to try the event once again just to relieve experience, and not get any benefit out of it. Whilst players that completely missed the event the first time around will now be able to experience it.
While Honkai Star Rail fans are heaping praises on this new feature, the Genshin Impact community is not at all happy with it. This feature has been one of the most demanded features by Genshin Impact fans, and considering the game has been around for almost three years now, there are tons of events that players have missed or might want to replay.
A Twitter thread about the new feature echoes the sentiments of the community, where fans believe that miHoYo has made Genshin Impact its cash cow and implementing the feedback they get from the community into other games.
There already have been growing concerns in the community about the change in miHoYo's focus from Genshin Impact to Honkai Star Rail, and miHoYo seems to be putting all its eggs into one basket. Genshin Impact is still slated to get new updates as planned, so it remains to be seen if miHoYo actually brings this feature to Genshin Impact in the future.
