Code Red air quality advisory in effect: 'Unhealthy for everyone'

RICHMOND, Va. -- A disturbance will bring some showers and storms, with the best chance shifting into eastern VA this afternoon. Storms will produce localized heavy rainfall, some hail and strong gusts. Highs will be in the 70s to around 80.

Haze from the Canadian wildfires will increase today. Another air quality alert is in effect, but today it is a "Code Red", meaning particulate levels are unhealthy for all people, so limit time outdoors.

A few isolated showers will be possible on Friday with highs 75-80.

The weekend is looking mostly dry. Highs will be in the low/mid 80s Saturday, and 85-90 Sunday. An isolated shower or storm will be possible late Sunday.

A good chance of rain and storms will be around on Monday.
