WWE's Tag Team Division Is Getting Overhauled
WWE announced on Friday Night SmackDown that the NXT Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre will face Women's Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in a title unification match. The match will happen in two weeks and there seems to be more going on with the women's tag division in recent weeks.
The private #BWE Twitter account, which is known to break insider WWE news, tweeted that the Women's Tag Team division is getting overhauled.
This is welcome news to some of the people behind the scenes who have been calling for the women's tag division to be featured more consistently. There were already signs of more focus getting put on the division when they put the belts on Rousey and Baslzer and when they moved two women's tag teams up to the main roster during the WWE Draft.
The exact plans for the division are unknown but it appears that Triple H is making more positive changes with the women's roster. During her interview with Steve Fall for WrestlingNews.co, Zoey Stark was asked about the state of the women's tag team division. Click below to hear what she said.
