Tokido and Daigo Umehara try their darnedest to beat Street Fighter 6's level 8 CPUs with some hilarious results
Rohto|Tokido and BST|Daigo Umehara are not only 2 of the best Street Fighter players in the world but have also found competitive success with Ryu in the past, so if anyone could beat Street Fighter 6's now infamous level 8 CPUs with it a limited roster, it should be them... right?
Well, the legendary FGC pros recently took on the challenge of trying to make the level 8 Ryu submit to their Ryu's in the Street Fighter 6 Demo where they quickly realize the computer is not playing games.
Thanks to FGC Translated, we get a couple compilations of Daigo's run with English subtitles, so we can tell what he's saying when he's freaking out.
Umehara's immediate impression after getting rinsed the first game is that the CPU is cheating with its confirms and basically reading his inputs, which is the general feeling the max level computer instills.
Daigo jokes that he's going to need to switch to Modern controls to have a chance, but perhaps his persistence will pay off in the end.
Unlike Umehara who avoided the first 2 SF6 betas, Tokido has some more experience with the game and is able to score some round victories earlier, but that doesn't mean everything goes his way either.
He gets to experience the CPU reacting to his Drive Impact basically every time and going for some combos that he doesn't seem to know existed before.
You can check out the abridged versions of Daigo and Tokido's runs through the SF6 Demo below, and let us know in the comments how many attempts it took you to beat the level 8 CPU if you've managed to do so.
