Richland County deputies ask public to stay clear of area after reports of shots fired
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) is asking the public to stay away from an area after reports of shots fired.
Large law enforcement presence in neighborhood off Hard Scrabble Road
RCSD said deputies are responding to a domestic call on Night Heron Court just after 4:30 p.m.
Deputies said the suspect fled towards the back of a house but is believed to be inside the home.
The department’s crisis negotiators are on the scene and have attempted to make contact with the suspect.
Special response teams are also at the location searching the home to locate any people inside.
This is still an active scene and the public is urged to stay clear of the area at this time.
