These summer weekend day games are tricky for following super closely because the kids have activities throughout the day, so I followed only from a distance today. My sense is that Justin Steele returned more or less looking like Justin Steele, which is huge.
Offensively, the Cubs had a quiet day, but came through twice when it mattered most:
A two-out double and a sac fly. Sometimes, that’s all it takes.
