What Else Do You Expect To See From Xbox Before The End Of 2023?
Gamescom is focused on the Players so Xbox is likely to be showcasing games releasing and early 'demo's' on the floor only inc 3rd Party, Indies etc so I don't expect much more - not unless some of the other Studio's sre 'prepared' to update us on or reveal what they are working on.
Of course we didn't get updates on Perfect Dark, Everwild etc and don't know exactly what the Coalition are releasing next, but I expect we will see more 'game-play' focused looks at Games like Hellblade, Fable etc than at the showcase which focused more on 'Showcase' (actual cut-scene in HB2 - looks stunning! and the acting 'incredible' - its not animation but then seemlessly transitioning between 'fully acted cutscenes with all the facial detail and expression that delivers' and playing that character still impresses the hell out of me - but maybe that's part of the point).
Showcase is designed more to Show Off what they have coming next to Anybody - whether a gamer or not really to be impressed by that line up and want to join.
Gamescom was always about putting Games in the hands of the Gamers - or at least the public who can buy a ticket and get there to get early impressions of games - Forza in Racing Sims will be 'big' I bet and for the rest of us, we get some more complete gameplay -slices of more than 1minute of actual player controlled game-play of some of the games due in the next year inc any 'new' 3rd Party/Indie/Game Pass reveals too - rarely some 'big' new announcements or Surprises but they do happen - hence Surprises!!
