Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Trick Lets Players Spam Charged Cannonballs
A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has shared a clever trick that lets them spam charged cannonballs to deal massive damage. Though Tears of the Kingdom has been out only for about a month, players have discovered many tricks and glitches that make killing enemies way easier. As an example, one Tears of the Kingdom player used a helpful trick to decimate all surrounding skeletons with a single Dazzlefruit-infused arrow.
The newest incarnation of Nintendo's iconic series, Tears of the Kingdom enhances the gameplay significantly by introducing new gameplay mechanics, such as Link's Ultrahand and Autobuild abilities. The game also allows players to tackle the dangers of Hyrule with new Sages, powerful companions that offer some combat abilities and special skills. They change the course of the combat if used at the right time.

A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan, who goes by Ichthus95 on Reddit, discovered a helpful trick that can be used to spam charged cannonballs with a homing chart. The player posted a video of them taking 80% of Black Hinox's health in seconds, saying they can spam these cannonballs as long as they are close enough to enemies. It looks like an abuse of a working mechanic, with some players in the comments claiming that cannonballs' recharge time scales linearly with distance. To clarify, players can rapidly launch cannonballs if they get close to enemies and then use a homing chart.
To support this idea, the original poster stated that cannonballs' recharge time decreases the closer they get to an enemy. These cannonballs are Yunobo's avatars that can be fired in any direction. In Tears of the Kingdom, players can use Sage of Fire to summon Yunobo's avatars while exploring the vast Kingdom of Hyrule. They can turn these avatars into charged cannonballs and blast them forward to deal destructive damage. This special ability is obtained upon completing Tears of the Kingdom's Yunobo of Goron City main quest.
Thanks to the sandbox nature of Tears of the Kingdom, players can adopt a specific playstyle designed around their weapons. Later on in the game, they will come across more terrifying enemies like colossal creatures and three-headed dragons. In addition to building a functional laser destroyer or a guardian stalker, players can use a number of effective fusion combinations to defeat Tears of the Kingdom's most dangerous enemies. As an example, they can either fuse their weapon with a flame emitter to deal massive damage or combine their shield with a Puffshroom to create a cloud of dust.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
