Random NPC Interrupts Skyrim's Opening Act with Hilarious Dialogue
An important sequence in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was interrupted by an NPC in a hilarious way. The scene in question is the opening for the game where NPCs and the player character are being taken to be executed. The dialog in question comes from Orgnar, who has one of the most unexpected reactions to one of the most serious events in Skyrim.
Skyrim was originally released in 2011 and was met with strong sales and praise from gamers and critics alike. The game has been re-released numerous times across multiple console generation cycles. As of this writing, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has sold over 60 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling games of all time. Aside from the vast immersive world, however, the game is perhaps best known for its numerous mods and endless sea of glitches which make for some hilarious moments.

RELATED: Skyrim Mod Gives the Player a Snarky Thalmor Companion In a recent post, Reddit User TheH3nta1Dealer revealed an odd encounter they had in Skyrim's iconic and sometimes bug-filled opening. In it, the character Orgnar appears and begins saying his standard Inn dialog. The character then responds with a kind of monotone surprise he walks up to the decapitated corpse of an NPC from the game's opening. It's not clear if his involvement in the scene is the result of a glitch or a mod.
Orgnar is an NPC who can be found in the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. Riverwood has been the subject of many mods and is one of the many cities that the player will eventually have to travel to in the main quest. Orgnar is initially a cook at the Inn and, if the player steals from the business, he will send out thugs to attack the player. The character does, however, have a small role in the game's main storyline.
In the game's main story, the player must reunite The Blades. The Blades in Skyrim have their own crazy lore, but several went into retirement before the events of the game. One member of The Blades is a woman named Delphine who originally runs the Sleeping Giant Inn. After being recruited by the player, however, she leaves the running of the Inn to Orgnar. Much of the dialog between the two consists of Delphine nagging Orgnar to do certain tasks when she wants them done, with the latter effectively saying that he'll get it when he gets to it. None of which, however, explains how the character ended up in the game's opening execution.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
