Comac drops Russia from CR929 program

Release Date June 20, 2023 Comac appears to drop Russia from CR929 branding Purchase a PDF copy of this report entered service, China’s commercial aircraft manufacturer has seemingly dropped Russia from the branding of its next design, a long-range widebody aircraft.
The company’s stand at the Paris Air Show featured a large photo of a project that has been previously dubbed the CRAIC CR929. The designation’s prefix – CR – connoted the collaboration between Chinese and Russian aerospace industries, formally teaming up in June 2016 to jointly design a widebody aircraft aimed at a segment dominated by Boeing’s 787 and Airbus’s A350.
