2025 top-15 WR Jaime Ffrench announces top five schools
Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin 2025 four-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench announced earlier in the month that he’ll be making his college decision on July 22. Now he has a clearer picture of where he might end up.
Ffrench announced a top five of Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound pass-catcher is the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Florida.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Alabama holds a commanding lead in Ffrench’s recruitment. The Crimson Tide sit with an 81.3% chance to land his pledge.
Ffrench was at Alabama on June 6 and will be back in Tuscaloosa on on June 29 for the Crimson Tide’s cookout.
“One (visit that stands out) is definitely Alabama,” Ffench told On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “That was a big one for me. It’s just the love there. Every time I go there, it’s all love again. They show more and more and more love. It’s always new stuff and I keep going back. That was my third time back.
“Me and Coach Wiggins and Coach Rees and definitely Coach Saban, we’re rocking right now,” he added. “I can’t leave out Saban, and I’ve been knowing Coach Rees since he was at Notre Dame. It’s a different color, that’s all … same love.”
Prior to the visit to Alabama, Florida State had been the leader for much of Ffrench’s recruitment.
Ffrench’s teammate at Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin High Schoo, three-star 2025 QB Tramell Jones is committed to the Seminoles.
“I’m their top guy,” he explained. “They’re telling me that I don’t have to go too far from home; I can everything I need to right here, right up the street. I know what’s up with Tramell, so it’s a big lean over that way, too … They’re really building on it. Florida State is right up the street and I’ve been going there since I was a little kid. I’ve been getting to go there, so I’ve been knowing more and seeing more of it (campus).”
Ffrench currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $141K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
