Neddie Escapes from Hospital, Carly & Drew Have a Week
General Hospital recap for Friday, June 23, 2023. In today’s GH episode, Drew offers to sell Aurora, Nina is shocked by the sentencing, and Martin gets a mysterious payment.
We also have Thursday’s GH recap where Selina ordered Gladys to amend her statement to clear Cody, then threatened him, and Drew’s sentence shocked him.
In the court house, the judge sentences Drew to three years. Carly leaps up and shouts.
The judge orders her to be quiet and declares that Drew will spend three years in Pentonville. She bellows this a mistake.
Zeke stands up to make the case for leniency. The judge explains that there are not two sets of laws. No one is above the law.
He orders Drew to be taken into custody immediately. Zeke appeals for time for his client to put his affairs in order. The judge allows for a week.
The hearing ends and Carly throws her arms around Drew. She’s appalled.
Drew suggests that Michael takes his mom home while he deals with paperwork. She doesn’t want to leave his side and Michael offers him any resources he needs.
Drew tells Carly that a week is a lifetime and they will have to live every moment like it’s their last. They kiss. She can’t believe this is happening.
He suggests they think of it like 36 car payments instead of three years. It will be okay.
Zeke returns and they discuss expediting things. He promises his client this isn’t over.
Once the lawyer walks off, Drew reminds Carly she is facing a stiff financial penalty and that’s a problem they have to solve together.
He’s ready to sell Aurora for her but she won’t allow that. Besides, she doesn’t want to think about this right now. She just wants to make the most of the time they have left.
In his room at General Hospital, Neddie tells the nurse he shouldn’t be there. Instead, she inject him with a tranquillizer.
Gregory eavesdrops as Tracy calls Alexis an idiot and taunts her about her neurosis. He leaps out and orders the Quartermaine to back the hell off.
Alexis doesn’t need defending from Tracy. He wanted to clean the air but not after he saw how she treated his friend.
He tells her to stay away from Chase and she advises him to stay away from her before storming off.
Gregory guesses that Alexis and Tracy have history. She fills him on Tracy framing her after she had a one-night stand with Ned.
In a way, Tracy did her a favor and it pushed her into recovery. She encourages him not to sink to Tracy’s level but he’s worried about his sons.
Kevin joins Neddie’s family. He informs them that Ned doesn’t just believe it, he is Eddie Maine.
They assume this is only temporary but the doctor isn’t confident things will return to normal any time soon. This seems to be more than a case of memory loss.
Ned’s brain has superimposed the thoughts and feelings of Eddie over his own. Chase is baffled. Tracy joins them as Olivia babbles.
Tracy thinks her son needs a stern talking to. BLQ assumes her dad wants a break from the family.
Olivia blows up at Tracy and Kevin tries to keep the ladies calm. He urges them to think of what Neddie is doing as a journey to find his true self. The only trip Tracy wants Ned to take is back to his senses.
Kevin explains Neddie may need this fantasy. Sobbing Olivia wants her Ned back and wonders if they can coax him. Tracy says that he needs another bump on the head.
Kevin says they are in uncharted territory. They need to give Neddie his space.
BLQ and Chase go in to see Needie. He’s sleeping. She wonders why the person to blame for what he was accused of hasn’t come forward.
He grabs her arm and asks her to bust him out of there. Chase orders him to let go.
Neddie wants to Vegas immediately. His daughter tells him about the importance of his family’s life.
She returns to the family to explain Neddie wants a one-way ticket to Vegas. This is too much for Tracy and she marches off to knock some sense into her son.
The family trail after her but Neddie’s room is empty.
