PlayStation Launches Official Final Fantasy Introduction Page
PlayStation has recently launched an official hub page for the Final Fantasy franchise, primarily meant for those with little to no history with the series. The page briefly overviews what Final Fantasy comprises, its history across PlayStation, and more.
Additionally, recommended first-time games are listed alongside popular releases and trailers of both mainline entries and spinoffs.
One noteworthy comment is the following:
“Every numbered Final Fantasy game from Final Fantasy VII has appeared on a PlayStation console and all, apart from Final Fantasy XI, are playable on the current generation of systems. ”
Final Fantasy XIII is not mentioned here, which has caused speculation regarding a potential remaster announcement for PlayStation 5. However, the Japanese version of this website says Final Fantasy XIII is not playable on modern PlayStation platforms, so it’s likely just an error on the English side.
