Frozen fruit sold at Trader Joe's recalled for possible listeria
Yelp / Nadav M.
Before you make that blended breakfast drink — check the brand on your frozen fruit. Trader Joe’s has once again recalled a classic smoothie ingredient, this time for potential contamination with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, as announced Wednesday on its website.
The grocery store chain recalled its frozen Organic Tropical Fruit Blend, which features pineapple, bananas, strawberries and mango, just three months ago for possible hepatitis A contamination. This recall affects the same product and encompasses all best by dates. Once again, no illnesses have been reported, and all the product has been removed from Trader Joe’s stores and destroyed as part of this voluntary recall.
