Sheriff's Office: 2 'dangerous' inmates escaped through Henry County Jail's roof
HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for two escaped inmates.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, inmates Ronnie Sharp and Joshua Harris escaped from the Henry County Jail by prying through the cell ceiling and prying open a skylight on the roof.
The Sheriff’s Office says the pair then left in an unknown direction, and it’s believed they are responsible for stealing a 2006 white Chevy 3500 four-door truck with a black dump bed, from a location on Highway 69 North.
40-year-old Joshua Harris is described as 5’9″, 150 pounds, with a last known address of 413 Routon Street in Paris. Harris was currently serving time for violation of sentence, with a history of evading arrest, theft of property and burglary.
48-year-old Ronnie Sharp is described as 5’11”, 160 pounds, with a last known address of 960 Meyes Road in Hazel, Kentucky. Sharp was in jail on numerous pending charges including kidnapping, aggravated assault, assault on an officer, evading arrest, theft of property and burglary.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says both inmates are considered to be dangerous, and says the public should not approach them. Anyone with information on their location is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at (731) 642-1672, or their local law enforcement agency.
