The next Fortnite summer event is just around the corner! Epic Games will soon take a summer break that will last for two weeks. However, before the break starts, the video game developer will release a big content update that will bring a new event.

Many players look forward to the summer event every year and are hoping that this year’s event will be amazing. Not only does this event bring a lot of new, fancy-looking skins, but it also comes with map changes, new items, and free rewards.

The Fortnite v25.11 update is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, June 27. Epic confirmed the release date with a tweet on Monday.

Fortnite’s summer event and other v25.11 patch notes

The Fortnite summer event will be the highlight of the v25.11 patch. According to reputable leakers, the event will either start on the day of the update or on Tuesday, July 4. Due to this, we expect the update to bring all the new content that will be eventually released to live servers.

Leakers also claim that Epic Games will release summer variants of some existing characters, including Chaos Agent and Erisa. However, most players are looking forward to unlocking Purradise Meowscles. This is a secret skin of Chapter 4 – Season 3 Battle Pass that will be available in early July.

The v25.11 Fortnite patch could also bring the second part of Snapshot quests. These quests are scheduled to go live on July 17. Considering that Epic will be on a break until then, we expect the quests to come out with the update.

Considering that every summer event has brought map changes, the next Fortnite patch will likely follow suit. Summer-themed island decorations have already been leaked, but Epic Games will probably release even more map changes.

Free Fortnite summer rewards and new items

When it comes to the quests in the early Fortnite patch notes, we expect more challenges for the upcoming summer event. As always, these quests will likely reward players with free items.

According to some leakers, there will be 14 free rewards, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet. It’s important to note that all the previous summer events have had many free rewards, which is why we believe that the leak is accurate.

Epic Games showcased a new weapon, the Explosive Repeater Rifle, with the trailer of the new season. This weapon, however, hasn’t been released yet, but it won’t be surprising if it comes with the v25.11 update. The rifle will come in four different rarities, including Mythic.

Since the update will be focused on the summer event, we expect Epic to unvault some weapons for a limited time. Besides weapons, we might see the return of some other items, such as Ice Cream.

Limited-time game modes and Fortnite Crew pack for July

In several previous summer events, Epic Games released limited-time game modes. However, it’s very unlikely that this will happen since the game developer is focused on Creative maps made with UEFN. Due to this, we might get a special Creative map for the upcoming event.

Finally, the v25.11 Fortnite patch will add the data for the upcoming Crew pack. Epic has already released the teaser, and it appears that it will be a skin based on a creation by D3nni, a popular concept artist.

The current Fortnite Crew pack will also include the Winter’s Trickster Legacy set. This is a set that includes progressively unlocked items that are exclusive to Crew subscribers. There are five stages of the set, and the last stage grants the Volpez Outfit.
