Bold & Beautiful Recap: Hope Confesses to Kissing Thomas in Rome

In the cabin, Hope asks Liam, “You were in Italy?” Liam replies, “Yeah. Yeah, I was there.”
At the cliff house, Finn asks Steffy what Liam saw in Rome. She flashes to Liam telling her that Hope kissed Thomas.
At Forrester, RJ tells his mother how happy he is for her and his dad. What kid doesn’t want to see their parents together, especially when they so obviously love each other? They embrace and talk about Rome working its magic on Brooke and Ridge. RJ’s sure it will be complicated for his dad because of Taylor. For her, it marks the end of any hope she has of getting back together with Ridge. Brooke nods.
In Taylor’s office, she asks Ridge if he’s 1000% sure that he wants to be back with Brooke. He says it’s already done but he doesn’t want to hurt her. Taylor tells him part of her is hurting for herself, but part of her is hurting for him too. Ridge tells her how much he cares about her. Taylor says they’ll always want the best for each other; that’s what makes this hard. She knows what always happens to him… more heartache and disappointment because of Brooke.

In the cabin, Liam tells Hope he tried to make it to the preview to show her how much he loved her and how sorry he was for doubting her. He didn’t make it in time though and wonders how differently things would have turned out if he had made it. Hope doesn’t understand — he was there but didn’t want to see her. Liam intones, “I didn’t say I didn’t see you.”
In the Forrester office, Brooke has told RJ how she and Ridge got back together because he looked through a keyhole. She flashes through the whole sequence of events. RJ thinks it sounds like a marriage proposal. He asks if they are going to tie the knot soon. Brooke asks how he’d feel about that. RJ says everyone who loves them would be thrilled, but for Steffy, Thomas, and Taylor it’s going to be a different story.
In Taylor’s office, she tells Ridge he knows what he’s getting into. He knows the risks. He asks what he can do. She asks him to just be happy. Taylor shared her concerns about Brooke and her manipulations, and she was right. “So much for our pact.” Taylor’s not surprised that Brooke was dishonest with her. Ridge grunts, “Come on, Taylor.” She warns him not to defend her. “Come on, Ridge. She has children with your father. She slept with your brother. Okay, I did too, but what I didn’t do is have a child with my daughter’s husband.” He needs to worry about who Brooke is at her core, “And that will never change.”

In the cliff house, Finn is agog when Steffy tells him that Hope initiated the kiss, not Thomas. “She wanted my brother.” Steffy wanted to be wrong. Finn puzzles, “It’s so unlike her.” Steffy feels terrible for Liam, whose life has been turned upside-down. She hopes he can find forgiveness and their marriage will somehow survive after what Hope did.
In the cabin, Liam stammers to Hope that he has so many plans. He wanted to take her to the Stella Maris. Hope wishes they had gone. He questions that. Hope wants him to explain but he’s done for the moment and says it’s time for her to do some explaining. Liam wants to hear about everything Hope did. Hope agrees that her and Thomas’ hard work paid off. Liam badgers, “What did you do after? Did you go sightseeing?” Hope says, “Yes.” Liam snaps, “Alone?” He hedges, “Or were you with someone?” Hope looks panicked.
At Forrester, Brooke complains to RJ that Taylor broke their pact and was trying to get him back. She doesn’t think she’ll ever get over his father. RJ feels she’ll be heartbroken at the prospect of losing Ridge forever.

In Taylor’s office, she warns Ridge, “Brooke is going to betray you.” She’ll somehow make herself the victim after and he’ll forgive her. She can’t understand how he sets himself up for this pain and heartbreak over and over again. That’s what’s so difficult about this, “Because I love you.”
In the cliff house, Finn wonders what Liam will do after everything that’s happened. Steffy flashes to Liam kissing her in Rome and shakes her head.

In the cabin, Hope doesn’t understand Liam coming to Rome and then just going home. Liam doesn’t understand why she won’t answer who she went sightseeing with. Hope doesn’t want to talk about Rome anymore; she’s home now. Liam rants about her not answering him and barks, “Did you go to the Colosseum, Hope? Did you go there?” Hope, with tears running down her face, says, “Yes, I went to the Colosseum.” Liam says, “Progress. Who’d you go there with?” Hope remains silent. Liam says they both know who she went there with, “I saw you two together. You didn’t even try to hide it; it was out in the open for everyone to see, for me to see. You didn’t even know I was there.” He continues that she thought she was safe, she thought he would never find out, but he found out. “I don’t want to have to say it. Don’t make me. You say it. Just tell me what you did.” Hope flashes to kissing Thomas. Liam scoffs that he will help her, “Just repeat after me… I kissed, I kissed…” He bellows at her. Hope whispers, “I kissed Thomas.” Liam nods and fumes as tears run down her face.
