4Warn Weather – Good Monday Morning!

After an active day with plenty of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, we are going to keep the showers and thunderstorms into the forecast as we start off the holiday week. With all the moisture around from the humid airmass in place, and the showers and thunderstorms yesterday, we are looking for some patchy dense fog as you head out the door this morning. Be sure to use those low beams if you encounter some of the fog.

More Thunderstorms Monday

Expect plenty of cloud cover to stick around today as well, but we could see a few breaks for some brief sunshine between the showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures heading for the lower 80s this afternoon.

A cold front will swing through the region this afternoon and evening. This will bring an end to any shower or thunderstorm activity by the mid to late evening hours tonight. Once the storms move out of the region, we will keep some cloud cover around before clearing skies move in overnight tonight. Overnight lows dropping into the middle 60s.

Drier Weather Moves In

For the 4th of July, high pressure will begin to move into the region and control the forecast, and that will bring plenty of sunshine as we work throughout the day along with warmer temperatures. High temperatures with the sunshine will head for the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

The dry weather sticks around for Wednesday as well, so expect plenty of sunshine and summer-like heat. High temperatures head for the lower 90s for just about everyone.

If you will be spending time outside with friends and family for the 4th of July, be sure to have the SPF 30 or better. With all the sunshine, expect sunburn to set in within 20 minutes or less over the next few days. Also, be sure to remain hydrated as well with plenty of water.

Thunderstorms Chances Return

Another cold front rolls into the region by the time we get to Thursday. Expect the clouds to increase overnight Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, with chances for showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon and evening. High temperatures making it into the middle 80s.

Drier weather moves into the region for the end of the week. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds for Friday giving way to plenty of sunshine for Saturday. High temperatures remaining seasonable, into the lower 80s for both days. We will bring another chance of rain showers into the forecast for the end of next weekend, but also keep some sunshine into the forecast. High temperatures remaining in the lower 80s in the afternoon.
