All the Looks Margot Robbie Has Rocked in the ‘Barbie’ Press Tour
Unless you’re living under a rock, it’s no secret that the Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie movie is all anyone can talk about these days. The long-awaited film, starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, and Will Ferrell, among many others, is set to turn the world a shade of pink after its release on July 21.
And, like many other celebrities (we’re thinking of you, Zendaya!), the star of the movie Robbie is taking the movie’s theme to heart during its international press tour. From pink looks to outfits that are almost replicas of iconic outfits from the doll in the past, Robbie, and her stylist Andrew Mukamal, are not afraid to go all out for the theme.
Take a look at all of her Barbie-inspired looks below!
Robbie Wows in Moschino
Robbie took baby pink to another level in this shimmering two-piece set from Moschino. Obsessed with these heart-shaped sunglasses!
Barbie Goes Preppy
Robbie could be mistaken for a character in Heathers in this ultra-preppy Versace look. Her stylist Mukamal perfectly paired this metallic pleated skirt with a cropped wool sweater, purple socks and baby blue high-heeled loafers. Did someone say the next big Halloween costume?
Barbie Takes Beverly Hills
If you’ve ever wondered what Barbie would look like in the real world, look no further than these incredible shots of Robbie with this bright pink convertible in Beverly Hills. To match the Barbie-approved car, Robbie wore a pink two-piece set, matching pink heels, a matching bag and white oval sunglasses. Stunning!
Never Off-Duty
Throughout the press tour, Robbie will be making her way across the globe. But if you thought she’d only wear Barbie-inspired outfits on red carpets and events, think again! Robbie was recently pictured at the airport in this pink tweed Chanel blazer that gave Barbie vibes without being too much for the airport. We’re also obsessed with her pink luggage. Talk about commitment!
The Original Barbie
On Instagram, Robbie’s stylist Mukamal explained that one of her most recent looks was inspired by the original 1959 Barbie doll. The doll, which had some questionable makeup on, wore a black and white striped swimsuit with white sunglasses and black heels. So, of course, Robbie perfectly mimicked the look in this black and white Herve Leger mini-dress with white sunglasses, black heels and a high ponytail.
Keeping It Colorful
Robbie kept the children’s toy fantasy alive with her latest look of a white cocktail Moschino dress with strawberries drawn on it. The perfect blend of fashion and playfulness!
