Two Minors Killed By Amtrak Train in Chester, Officials Say
Two minors were struck and killed by an Amtrak train Saturday afternoon in Chester, Pennsylvania, according to multiple sources.
Amtrack released a statement confirming that one of their trains came in contact with multiple people "trespassing on Amtrak-owned tracks in Delaware County, Penn."
"These incidents can affect everyone involved—those who are injured or die and their families, our train crews, and our passengers. They also serve as critical reminders about the importance of obeying the law and of exercising extreme caution around railroad tracks and crossings," Amtrack said.
Senator John Kane of Chester, Pa., wrote that the two minors involved in the accident were killed on his Twitter account.

Fred Green, a Chester Upland School Board Director, posted on Facebook his condolences for the loss of the two children who were killed by an Amtrak train.
Amtrack posted an update saying that all train traveling through the area between Wilmington and Philadelphia are traveling at reduced speeds and only one out of four tracks have been released due to the ongoing police activity in Chester, Pa.

The Delaware County Medical Examiner is on scene.
Two witnesses tell us they saw several kids playing on the tracks and told them to get off shortly before the incident.
SEPTA also confirmed that the Wilmington Regional Rail will also be suspended until further notice.
