Street Fighter 6 enjoyed itself a pretty smooth launch all things considered, but that doesn't mean there aren't still some things that need fixing in the game.

Capcom has announced that SF6 will undergo emergency maintenance tonight, July 3, which will make all of the online functions unavailable for a few hours.

The server maintenance period is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. PDT and last through 11:59 p.m. PDT though it could take a little less time or a little more to get everything back up and running again.

It is stated in the in-game announcement that SF6 is getting patched to a new Version 1.0001.010 update though we currently don't know what that will entail.

One of the most likely things getting changed, however, is the hopeful removal of the recently discovered perfect throw tech option select present within SF6.

Capcom has previously acknowledged the issue and stated they're working on a fix, but there's no confirmation yet that will be happening tonight.

#StreetFighter6 servers will undergo maintenance as detailed below. We apologise for the inconvience, and ask you to stay tuned for further updates.

There's also a strong chance the developers are prepping SF6 for its second Fighting Pass since the first ended last night.

As of right now though, we don't know when that second Battle Pass is going to go live and what that will entail.

Finally, some players have been experiencing connection issues or straight up game crashes, so hopefully the new update and maintenance will help bring more stability to the game as well.

It's still too early to be receiving any real balance updates yet, but we could still see some character or system-specific bugs get ironed out too.

We'll know more about what's changing in SF6 once Capcom releases the patch notes for the new update, so stay tuned for more coverage.
