Dozens of people have been injured in Russian shelling on a town in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, according to the local authorities.
“As of now, 38 people have been wounded in the shelling of Pervomaiskyi in Kharkiv region, including 12 children. The youngest is 3 months old, and medics provided him with first aid on the spot,” according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s office.
"The windows of 8 multi-story buildings in the town were damaged. In addition, 4 cars were on fire and 1 car was damaged," said the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov.
Rescue workers are on the scene, according to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
"Russians fired a high-explosive projectile," which caused several cars to catch on fire and caused damage to the high-rise buildings, according to Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian presidential office.
