Fans Are Consistent With Their Opinion On The Worst Hot Ones Guest Ever
Fans appear to have a consensus on who the worst guest of all time on Sean Evans’ Hot Ones is. The YouTube show is the breakthrough project of the interviewer and producer’s career, and kicked off for Season 1 with eight episodes in 2015.
The series’ popularity has skyrocketed in the years since, with Season 21 kicking off in May 2023. Within that period of time, Evans and the show have been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.
Hot Ones has also contributed to his personal, financial success. He is now estimated to have a net worth of around $8 million. This success is borne out of the unique nature of the program.
To start with, Evans’ approach involves asking probing questions that would otherwise not come up on other similar productions. Even more crucially, the signature of the show sees guests answer those questions while also munching on some very real and very hot chicken wings.
Despite this punishing routine, there are a number of guests who have completely smashed it, working their way through the ten wings, which get progressively hotter with each question.
Not everyone can take the heat, however. Many more have failed terribly on the show. These include Taraji P. Henson, Shaquille O’Neal, and even Gordon Ramsay, who all couldn’t quite handle the spice.

Any guest who cannot get through their ten wings is entered into a special Hot Ones hall of shame. Fans appear to be quite certain of who is the worst among these.
DJ Khaled Struggled Badly In The Season 1 Finale Of Hot Ones

Sean Evans was not very well known when he started hosting Hot Ones in March 2015. The extent of his CV before then was as a copywriter for the Chicago Tourism Board, and later on an interviewer for Complex Magazine.
Nonetheless, the first season of Hot Ones still managed to nab some notable names. Among those who featured in this inaugural phase were Machine Gun Kelly, Ja Rule, and MLB star Anthony Rizzo.
The eighth and final episode was graced by none other than DJ Khaled. Evans felt that he was the “perfect” guest to wrap up the season, but the rapper-producer struggled and fumbled his way through the entire interview. This did not go unnoticed by fans.

Khaled was his usual pumped up and pompous self, talking himself up at every opportunity. While his grandstanding is often justified by his success, he could not quite walk the talk this time around, as he tapped out while he had barely started.
How Did Sean Evans React To DJ Khaled’s Fail On Hot Ones?

It is not uncommon that a guest on Sean Evans’ Hot Ones fails to get through all ten wings. DJ Khaled was quite unique in the sense that as soon as he had started digging into his first, he was already complaining.
Shortly before his appearance on the show, Khaled had announced his eighth studio album, titled I Changed A Lot.
Referencing this, Evans asked: “You call this album an uppercut and a knockout. And I always wonder when you say these things, who are you fighting? When you call this a victory, who did you defeat?”
“The f***boys,” Khaled retorted, digging into that first wing. It wasn’t too long, though, until he was crying foul. Evans was immediately taken aback, challenging him: “This is the first one,” he said. “This is the weakest wing, bro.”

By the time he was on to his second, Khaled was already giving a disclaimer to his fans that if they saw him stop, “it doesn’t mean that I gave up.” Evans giggled dismissively. “Yes, it does! By definition,” he chuckled.
Fans Did Not Like DJ Khaled’s Attitude On Hot Ones With Sean Evans

DJ Khaled bit into his third wing and decided that he could not carry on. While there is no shame in admitting defeat in such circumstances, fans have been unimpressed by his attitude in doing so.
Before finally tapping out, the New Orleans-born star had insinuated that Sean Evans’ wings were not as hot as his. The host suggested they switch, and Khaled agreed to it. When he couldn’t carry on, he tried to change the narrative.
Evans tried to encourage him to carry on, even just to take a bite on every wing. Khaled implied that eating the hot wings was harmful or unhealthy, which is exactly the thing that has been irking most fans.
“He was super rude, didn’t answer the questions, wimped out on THE THIRD WING, insulted Sean and the crew multiple times, and spoke entirely in absolute nonsensical hype man gibberish,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
On YouTube, someone else observed: “This is the one time I’ve ever seen Sean kind of snappy and sarcastic towards a guest. I’m honestly here for it. Good for you, Sean fighting back against this giant ego.”
