The Houston Astros' 2023 season has been filled with health-related hurdles, a trend that continued with Jose Altuve's recent oblique injury.
While general manager Dana Brown had already indicated that Altuve would be out until after the All-Star break, the Astros ensured this will be the case by placing the former AL MVP on the 10-day Injured List on Thursday. The move was made retroactively to July 4, when Altuve missed his first game due to left oblique discomfort.
