Blue Bell launches new Monster Cookie Dough ice cream flavor

As if you needed a reason to loiter a little longer in the ice cream aisle of your local grocery store, Blue Bell Creameries just dropped another sweet flavor into its summer lineup. In honor of National Ice Cream Month, the Texas ice cream giant is setting its new Monster Cookie Dough flavor loose on the masses, according to a Blue Bell news release.
The flavor hitting the freezer on Thursday, July 6, is made using a creamy vanilla ice cream base with hints of brown sugar with peanut butter monster cookie dough pieces, candy-coated chocolate pieces, and dark chocolate chunks mixed in. The flavor, which comes in half gallon and pint sizes, has all the hallmarks of a monster cookie, according to Blue Bell Marketing Brand Manager Sara Schramm.
