Guess the rent for this Eastside San Antonio 3-bedroom home
More people have been looking to move to San Antonio in 2023. (Especially from Austin!) Home prices rise as houses stay on the market longer and San Antonio rents aren't dropping. From finding your perfect new home to negotiating rent prices, searching for an apartment in San Antonio can be quite the experience. Taking inspiration from our sister publication SFGate in San Francisco, MySA is looking at local properties showcasing the best, worst, and everything in between here in the Alamo City. Let's guess the rent.
Last week's excursion into downtown San Antonio took us to a modern one-bedroom apartment on South St. Mary's Street with access to an infinity pool. Now we're heading to the Eastside, just outside of downtown, to look at a three-bedroom home in the Arena District that the listing calls "swanky."
The home itself was built in 2020, according to Bexar County property records, so we're dealing with fairly new fixtures and accents in this home, so the "swanky" description might hold. However, this could also mean rather pricey rent in an area where one of the nearby homes was built in 1945.
Let's take a look inside.
Craigslist
You can tell by that wood panel flooring, which is found throughout the entire home, that this home is working with some modern, custom fixtures. The other high-end detail is the coffered ceiling.
Craigslist
The kitchen comes with granite countertops, a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and custom wood cabinets with lighting underneath. There's also the raised ceiling. Let's not forget that.
Craigslist
Here is one of the bedrooms. Not much to say about this one.
Craigslist
The main bedroom comes with a "large" closet that has custom, built-in shelves. Do you have a rental price in mind yet?
Craigslist
The granite counters continue in the bathroom it seems. The vessel sink is a very modern touch. Let's get to the thing that we don't get to see often in the Guess the Rent series.
Craigslist
We get a look at the backyard. There isn't much when it comes to deck or porch space.
Craigslist
But there seems to be plenty of space in the backyard where you could make your own space for that weekend barbecue.
So how much will you pay per month? The Craigslist post says the monthly rent for this 1.250-sqaure-foot home is $2,100. There is also a $55 online application fee. Zumper says the median rent for a three-bedroom in the area is $1,394.
