Microsoft is finally making the new “Moment 3” features on Windows 11 available to all users with today’s Patch Tuesday update (KB5028185). Microsoft actually started rolling out these new features in late May via a controlled feature rollout, and Moment 3 was previously made available as an optional update on June 27.

The Windows 11 Moment 3 update brings a pretty long list of new features. Highlights include the ability to see seconds in the system tray clock, a new VPN status icon in the system tray, Access key shortcuts in File Explorer, new settings for USB4 devices and presence sensors, and support for new languages in live captions.

The Moment 3 update also changes how existing features work on Windows 11: Hitting the print screen will now open the Snipping Tool by default, though you can change that to the previous behavior if you prefer. Moreover, Windows 11 will now only display a maximum of 20 recent tabs when using Alt + Tab and Snap Assist.

The Moment 3 update is only available for Windows 11 users running the version 22H2 of the OS. Users still running the original version of Windows 11 are also getting a new update today (KB5028182), but it just includes security improvements and no new features.
