VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Crews with the Virginia Beach Fire Department are responding to a large fire at the Oceanfront Tuesday afternoon.
The fire is at 2610 Atlantic Avenue, which is near the Holiday Inn Express and Hyatt House at the Oceanfront. A spokesperson for the fire department confirmed that crews responded to the T-Shirt Factory.
It's unknown what caused the fire and if anyone has been hurt as a result. Shortly before 6:40 p.m., the response was upgraded to a three-alarm.
Pacific Avenue and Atlantic Avenue are closed from 2nd to 28th Street. People are asked to avoid the area.
