Philip Rivers and wife Tiffany are expecting their 10th child
Former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers is getting ready to welcome his 10th child into the world.
Rivers, 41, told AL.com that he and his wife, Tiffany, are expecting a baby boy in the fall while at a 7-on-7 event in Daphne, Ala.
The couple has nine other children, with ages ranging from 4 to 21.
The Rivers family — before this boy enters the world — has seven girls and two boys, with one of their sons getting ready to be the starting quarterback at St. Michael Catholic, where Rivers coaches.
Rivers retired from pro football in 2021 after playing 17 years in the NFL.
The eight-time Pro Bowler, who nearly has a football team of his own at home, said he is excited to bring another child into the world with his wife.

“We’ve had one pretty much every two years and now this is the longest gap,” Rivers said. “We are all fired up. Everyone was pulling for a boy.
“Even our girls wanted a boy.”

Rivers told the outlet that he and his wife have not picked out a name for soon-to-be new addition.
The ex-quarterback joked that they’ve gotten “plenty of opinions” about a name.
Rivers said that he comes from a family where both his mother and father were one of nine siblings.
“We thought we would be the third generation of nine, but we decided to go double-digits — or I should say we didn’t decide it. God decided,” Rivers said.

Rivers spent 16 seasons with the Chargers before finishing out his career with the Indianapolis Colts.
He threw for 63,440 yards and 421 touchdowns, which are both sixth on the NFL all-time lists.
He is entering his third season coaching at St. Michael Catholic in Fairhope, Ala.
