Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk vowed to throw it down in the cage last month

The potential battle of the billionaires between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk has even attracted the interest of UFC star Conor McGregor.

The world's richest tech titans vowed to throw it down in a cage fight last month in what would be a clash for the ages.

The bout was backed by UFC president Dana White, who claimed it would be the biggest fight of all time.

And now it appears it also has the support of one of the promotion's biggest stars in McGregor.

In a clip exclusive to DailyMail.com, the 35-year-old was asked whether his interest would be piqued by the prospect of the bout.

'I'm interested,' McGregor said. 'Are they gonna go ahead with it? Are they gonna make it happen?

'If it happens under the UFC banner, I'm with it. It has to happen under the UFC banner.'

Both the Meta founder and the Twitter chief have received offers from other UFC stars to help them train.

Earlier this month, the Facebook founder posed for snaps with UFC Featherweight Champion, Alex Volkanovski, and two-time UFC Middleweight champ' Israel Adesanya at a gym in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Musk has received similar offers from other high-profile mixed martial artists, such as Jorge Masvidal, Dominick Cruz, and Georges St-Pierre.

He admitted that he needs 'a lot more training' after a few grueling sessions with St. Pierre, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in MMA history.

But, despite being interested in the bout, McGregor, who had his 35th birthday Friday and said he would celebrate with his fiancee Dee Devlin, has no intention to lend a hand.

The Irishman revealed that he won't be able to offer his assistance as he's too busy training for his own bout.

When asked if he would get in the ring with either Zuckerberg and Musk to prepare them, McGregor said: 'I'm training for my own fight.'

McGregor suffered a serious leg break in July 2021 in his bout with Dustin Poirier, and has not fought since.

But a fight with Michael Chandler is now looming and McGregor's manager, Audie Attar, is hopeful it can happen before the end of 2023.

'Listen, you can't rule this year out, but we're definitely gearing up for a strong matchup with Michael Chandler,' he exclusively told DailyMail.com.

And McGregor appeared to back up his manager's faith as he insisted he was ready and raring to go.

'I'm feeling really good. Really good. I'm ready to fight,' he said when asked about the possibility of a bout this year.

McGregor has featured in this year's the Ultimate Fighter series as one one of the team's coaches.

And recent footage from the show provided a window into his apparent injury recovery, as he could be seen delivering a strong kick to the body of sparring partner Landon Quinones.

McGregor used his left leg - the same one he broke in 2021 - to deliver the blow.

He has also previously teased a return date himself on Twitter. In a now-deleted post on the platform last weekend, McGregor told fans that he was eyeing 'December' for his next fight.

Chandler has a 23-8 record as a fighter. His last fight also came vs. Poirier in November, as he lost via submission in the third round.
