Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Teams Up With a Korok To Drive a Battle Mech
A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player joined forces with a Korok to drive a functional battle mech. Tears of the Kingdom gives players the ultimate freedom to create makeshift vehicles, such as classic cars, off-road buggies, and even trains. Recently, one imaginative Tears of the Kingdom player built a Batmobile that features a closing canopy, while another created a rechargeable electric car with Zonai devices.
Tears of the Kingdom makes some improvements on 2017's Breath of the Wild, like the introduction of the new Ultrahand and Fuse abilities. These ancient powers help players attach objects together to build vehicles and combine materials with weapons to upgrade their capabilities. Additionally, players are not limited to ground exploration, as Tears of the Kingdom improves the sense of discovery with new areas, such as the Sky Islands and the Depths.

Over on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, a user named iatetoomuchcheeseits posted a clip of them sitting on a battle mech piloted by a Korok. The player teamed up with the wooden creature to drive the mech, which goes faster than many other war machines. They used a sled, two construct heads, four beam emitters, two shrine bowls, and two Zonai wheels to build this functioning mech. There is also a hydrant that prevents Zonai wheels from burning. In the comments, many fans expressed their admiration for the vehicle, with some claiming that the angled stabilizer is a crucial part of mechs and walkers.
Tears of the Kingdom's Koroks are friendly wooden creatures players can find in every corner of Hyrule, except for the Depths. They offer golden seeds, which can be used to increase inventory slots, in return for solving a variety of themed puzzles. Luckily, these Korok puzzles are not as tricky as those scattered around the game's world, requiring players to lift rocks, pick flowers, and repair shelters.
Aside from Link's ancient powers, Tears of the Kingdom introduces players to Zonai devices that can be used to upgrade and weaponize vehicles. These advanced machines come in handy and are obtained through the Device Dispensers located in the Sky Islands. When combined with a vehicle build, Zonai Devices can add some functionality and protect players from nearby enemies. For example, one creative Tears of the Kingdom player built a laser destroyer with flame emitters to fire at enemies from a distance.
