Burger King Brazil Introduces Barbie Burger With Pink Sauce
The ultimate Barbie meal has been launched at Burger King, but it's only available at the famous burger joint's locations in Brazil.
On Instagram, Burger King Brazil debuted a promo featuring the special Barbie-themed combo meal, available as of now for a limited time. The meal, dubbed the BK Barbie Combo, features a "Pink Burger" that comes complete with a "delicious smoky pink sauce," though exactly what flavor that is remains unclear. Also included with the meal is what's called "Ken's Potato" with special shell-shaped packaging to hold the fries. A "Barbie Donut Shake" rounds out the meal, which is expectedly a strawberry milkshake, but with a literal donut placed on the straw.

"Barbies from all over Brazil, check out this news that arrived straight from Barbie Land to our kingdom," the translated Instagram post reads, promising that the food is very much real and not plastic. "It's real, NOW you can come running to BK to try the BK Barbie Combo."
This is not the only special meal to be recently introduced by Burger King in promotion of a big-budget film. The company recently sold Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse-themed Whopper sandwiches, which included buns that had been dyed red like to look more like Spider-Man's suit. The promotion lasted from May to June and was available in North America, unlike the new Barbie meal. In past years, Burger King has similarly sold specialty meals for other titles in pop culture, including one peculiar promotion in 2019 with upside-down Whoppers sold in honor of Stranger Things.

Pink burgers at Burger King restaurants in Brazil certainly won't be the only pink fans will be seeing around this summer. There has been a lot of hype and excitement for Barbie, and the movie's marketing has seen an influx of the color pink all over the place. But there may not have been as much pink as there was on the actual Barbie set, as there were reports last month that so much pink paint had been used to create Barbie Land that it created a international shortage. If the film is a big success upon release, chances are sequels or spinoffs will follow, so fans could be seeing a lot more more pink thanks to Barbie for years to come.
Barbie will be premiering in movie theaters alongside Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer on July 21, 2023.
