The summertime Splatoon 3 Splatfest to decide whether vanilla, strawberry, or mint chip ice cream is the best flavor has come to an end and the results have been revealed. Teams fought hard all weekend to prove their flavor was the best one, but as with prior Splatfests, one team takes home the victory.

The Splatoon 3 Splatfest started out well for Shiver and her fans, with Team Vanilla leading the way early on in the match. The team took the lead for most conch shells, and by the midway point of the Splatfest, Team Vanilla was still maintaining a lead over Team Strawberry and Team Mint Chip, securing first place at the halftime with 34.29%, followed by Mint Chip at 33.25% and Strawberry in third with 32.46%.

With a clear advantage going into the Splatfest on day 1 and 2, it quickly became clear to the other teams that they'd have to work hard to overcome Team Vanilla's popularity. In the end, Team Vanilla's overwhelming popularity couldn't be beat, with it nearly sweeping the competition. Team Mint Chip managed to bring home the win for Pro Battles, but with Team Vanilla taking the win in every other category, it ultimately crushed the competition with a whopping 45 points to Team Strawberry's 0 and Team Mint Chip's 12.

Players who participated in the Splatfest will want to login soon to collect their rewards. All participants in Splatoon 3 Splatfests are granted Sea Snails after the results are announced. Unlike the game's standard coin currency, Sea Snails are very limited and can typically only be acquired during Splatfests. For players who may not know, Sea Snails can be exchanged with Murch or Spyke, should they have the Side Order DLC that grants access to Inkopolis. The two NPCs provide various gear modifying services that can be purchased with one's Sea Snails.

With the latest Splatfest now over, it remains to be seen what Splatoon 3 's next major event will be. The game has found an interesting balance between Splatfests and Big Run events, plus the recent addition of limited-time challenges that shake up normal gameplay. Many players are likely still hoping to see a Halloween Splatfest this year, so it will be interesting to see if the holiday makes a comeback in the ink-based shooter.
